Q: What exactly is Sage Grove Studio & Workspace?
Sage Grove is a shared creative space in Elmira, NY, offering hourly studio rentals, coworking sessions, private workspaces, and event hosting. It’s a flexible, welcoming environment for photographers, small business owners, artists, and community members.

Q: Who can use the space?
Anyone! Whether you’re booking a photo session, hosting a workshop, or just need a quiet place to work — Sage Grove is open to individuals, small businesses, and creatives of all kinds.

Q: What types of bookings are available?

  • Studio Rentals – for photography or small creative projects

  • Coworking – shared quiet workspace with others

  • Private Workspace – a closed room for meetings or focused work

  • Private Events – showers, workshops, and gatherings

  • Studio Memberships – discounted monthly access for regular users

Studio Rentals…

Q: What does my rental time include?
Your rental includes access to the studio, lighting, and available props/furniture during your booked time. Please include setup and cleanup within your reservation window.

Q: How much does it cost?

  • Standard studio rental: $65/hour

  • Private events: rates vary based on setup and duration

  • Memberships: start at $120/month (see below)

Q: Can I bring my own props or décor?
Yes, small portable props are welcome — just remove them when you’re done.

Q: Can I move the furniture or decorations?
Not on your own. All setups must remain in place unless you book the Custom Setup / Furniture Adjustment Add-On, which our staff will handle for you.

Q: Can I split my session with another photographer?
No. Each booking must be made under a single photographer or business.


Q: Do you offer themed setups?
Yes! During holidays, seasonal events, and more, we provide pre-styled setups perfect for minis or branding sessions.

Q: Can I rearrange or add to the holiday sets?
You’re welcome to bring small personal items (like ornaments or gifts), but the main décor must stay as-is to protect the setup for all photographers.

Q: What kinds of events can I host?
We welcome showers, parties, workshops, pop-ups, and small vendor markets.

Q: How will the room be arranged?
Tables and chairs are set up in our standard layout unless you add the Custom Setup Add-On for a tailored arrangement.

Q: Are there restrictions on décor?
Yes — no confetti, glitter, candles, sparklers, or open flames.

Q: Is a deposit required?
Some private events may require a refundable security deposit.

Q: What if my event runs over?
Overtime is billed at 1.5x the hourly rate.

Q: What’s the difference between coworking and a private workspace?

  • Coworking: an open, shared environment for quiet work.

  • Private Workspace: a closed room for one person or client meetings.

Q: Can I host clients?
In coworking — no. In private workspaces — yes, with prior arrangement.

Q: Can I make phone calls?
Yes, but please keep your voice low and respectful of others.

Q: Can I bring guests or adjust furniture?
Guests must be pre-approved, and furniture changes can only be made by Sage Grove staff.


Noise & Conduct…

Q: Can I play music during my booking?
Yes, at a low background volume only — please be mindful of other tenants.

Q: What happens if there’s a noise complaint?
Contact us immediately at INFO@SAGEGROVE.CO, and we’ll resolve it quickly.


Q: What’s your cancellation policy?

  • 72+ hours notice: one-time studio credit (valid 90 days)

  • Within 72 hours: non-refundable

  • No-shows: forfeited booking

Q: Can I cancel more than once using a credit?
No. Studio credit is a one-time courtesy.

Q: What if I cancel or no-show repeatedly?
Frequent cancellations or no-shows may result in loss of booking privileges.

Rentals are for your reserved time only — arrive, set up, and clean up within it.

  1. Light food and drinks are welcome (please clean up).

  2. Only service animals allowed.

  3. Children are welcome if supervised.

Terms & Conditions…

Q: Why do you have Terms & Conditions?

Our Terms & Conditions protect both you and the Sage Grove community. They outline how the space should be used, what’s allowed, and how we keep everyone safe, respectful, and creative.

Q: What are the most important things to know?

  • Setup & Cleanup: Your rental time includes setup and cleanup — early entry or late exit may incur additional fees.

  • Furniture & Décor: Do not move or rearrange furniture on your own. Any changes must be arranged through the Custom Setup Add-On.

  • Cleanliness: Leave the space as you found it. Cake smashes are welcome, but confetti, glitter, and champagne “pops” are not permitted.

  • Family-Friendly Policy: Explicit or adult content creation is not allowed in any form.

  • Safety & Security: Smoking, vaping, and open flames are prohibited. The premises are monitored by security cameras in common areas for safety.

  • Access & Lock-Up: Return the key to the lockbox after unlocking and re-lock the space when finished. Turn off lights and ensure the space is secured. A $50 lost key fee applies.

  • Children & Guests: Children must be supervised at all times. Bookings cannot be shared or split unless pre-approved.

  • Damage & Liability: Renters are financially responsible for any damage or missing items that occur during their rental. Legal action may be pursued if necessary.

  • Right of Entry: Sage Grove staff may enter the premises as needed for safety, maintenance, or security reasons.
